St Paul’s University

Located in Limuru, about 30 kilometres from Nairobi, St Paul’s University is an ecumenical private chartered institution founded in 1903 as a college for mainly theological studies.

It began operating as a university in 2007 and has expanded its programmes beyond theology.

It has five campuses offering diploma and degree courses in business, IT, leadership, public relations and marketing, management, communication, divinity, Business Information Technology, leadership and management.

Entry requirements for undergraduate degree courses are a C plus at the Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE).

The college has a trimester system under which students study without going for long holidays.

The university offers master’s degrees in Business Administration, Development Studies, Theology and in Pastoral Care and HIV/AIDS. It also offers a unique master’s degree course in Christian-Muslim Relations.

The university has a work-study programme that allows needy students to work and study at the same time. Working professionals with over two years experience can enroll at the institution under the mature entry programme.

The university has a radio studio where its communications students practice what they have learned in class. It boosts their skills before joining the job market.
